The Sorkka.fi enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is a shared ERP solution for the entire meat production chain, managed by the slaughterhouse. Sorkka’s primary goal is to free up time and resources for both farmers and slaughterhouses so they can focus on actual productive activities rather than processing various systems and forms.
Integrations with the Finnish Food Authority’s animal registers and production monitoring systems, along with comprehensive reporting capabilities, significantly speed up compliance with statutory reporting and record-keeping requirements for both farmers and slaughterhouses. Monitoring organic balance has never been as easy as it is with Sorkka.
If the slaughterhouse so desires, Sorkka can also incorporate other parties essential to its operations, such as the supervising veterinarian, animal transporters, the cutting plant, and the livestock brokerage, thereby effectively centralizing the management of the entire production chain into a single system.
Sorkka is a software program developed entirely in Finland, drawing on four generations of experience in the slaughterhouse industry. Sorkka is continuously being developed in response to the needs of Finnish meat farmers and evolving requirements. The animal species currently supported by Sorkka are: cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and horses.
